Michael Jackson never sang on The Simpsons. This is big news if you've never actually paid attention to anything YOUR ENTIRE LIFE! It's a pretty well known story that Sony wouldn't let him sing on the show. I mean it was on the DVD commentary for pete's sake.

2009 the year in mediocre blogging

Believe it or not I made 407 blog posts this year. That's not bad when you consider I'm barely literate. Here's the obligatory year end recap with the 12 most popular posts and topics in no particular order.

Robots

For me 2009 will always be remembered as the year I became convinced that Robots will rise up against us. You know how most billion dollar software companies located in Redmond WA will release a product that's incredibly buggy and needs to be imediately patched and upgraded right out of the box? Well try downloading and installing new drivers while a 100 pound pleasure bot is trying to rip off your junk.

Jersey Shore

It's easy to make fun of the so called "guidos" on Jersey Shore, what with all the punching and awesome Street Fighter mash-ups. But you who was doing it in January this year? That's right, this guy was.

Lingerie Football

Yep 2009 was the year the LFL took the nation by storm. Or at the very least padded this bloggers hits.

Far be it from me to give TMZ more attention than they already get, but they just posted a list of drugs found by police officers when Neverland Ranch was searched in 2003. I gotta say, this was pretty surprising. At the time the police ignored it since it wasn't germane to molesting boys, which surprised me a bit. Now technically I only passed the bar in Barbados, but I was taught that it's easier to make a case against a raging dope fiend than it is a sober upstanding citizen.

-- A vial of Versed -- a powerful sedative
-- Several IV bags containing "a milky white fluid, located in a small cardboard box on top of the bathtub." Propofol and other anesthesias are milky white. As we first reported, Propofol was in Jackson's home the day he died.
-- A vial of Promethazine -- an antihistamine with strong sedative effects
-- A bottle of Alprazolam (generic for Xanax, a powerful anti-anxiety drug)
-- A bottle of Percocet -- a painkiller

I've never done drugs, but at what point does it become easier just to smoke some crack? I mean isn't it easier to get someone to score you some heroin than it is to get a prescription to Propofol, a drug that has to be administered by an anesthesiologist?

The first cassette tape ever I owned, outside of psalty's praise tapes 1&2, was Thriller. Up until he started to get all molesty I was a big big fan. At least for today, lets not remember him as the creepy looking white guy luring kids onto his ferris wheel with cans of Jesus juice. Instead Let's remember him as the amazing performer he once was.
