Get Away From Her You Adorable Baby

Instead of reposting videos I see on ToplessRobot and Buzzfeed I'm just going to go ahead and start reposting pictures I see on reddit. Cool? Cool.

Oh yeah, this guy's Halloween costume for his daughter wins everything. I'm going to have make some big time changes to Logan's Spider-Man costume tonight. Anyone have some radioactive spiders laying around?

New Prometheus trailer

Sweet Christmas this movie looks the bomb diggity. I think I've mentioned this before, my favorite scene in Alien is when the crew of the Nostromo enters the alien ship and encounters the Space Jockey. Not only does Prometheus look awesome all on it's own, but I'm totally pumped to find out the back story of the Space Jockey.

It might sounds crazy, considering the boxes and boxes of comics I own, but I think I'm looking forward to this movie more than The Avengers.

Prometheus gets it's viral on

If you're a big nerd you know that we're right in the middle of 2012 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, so I guess it makes sense that the makers of Prometheus would start a viral campaign with an address the 2022 TED.

It doesn't really do anything other than introduce us to Peter Weyland of the Weyland-Yutani company that got everyone in trouble in the first two Alien movies. I don't know, I'm still really excited for this movie but it's not like I'm more excited after seeing this. Just show us some Space Jockeys and get it over with!

Prometheus Trailer, Death Blow edition.

I have no idea why studios insist on premiering trailers for highly anticipated movies in theaters a couple days before they put them up on the web? Seriously it's like they want us to pirate their trailers or something.

Anyhoo, here's the trailer for Ridley Scott's Alien prequel/not prequel Prometheus. Remember in Alien when they spelunked down into the cave with all the eggs and there was this giant looking dead alien thing in a chair? This movie is supposed to be about them, not about the actual Aliens. Or course that hasn't stopped rumors that people have been seen on the set in the traditional Alien costume. Either way the movie looks cool.

...and that took roughly 2 hours to get pulled down. here's a better non-death blow version.

Alien prequel might not suck

Producers in Hollywood make a lot of crap decisions, but the jerkfaces at Fox finally got one right when they decided they weren't giving an Alien prequel the green light unless Ridley Scott agreed to direct it. The movie is based on a John Spaiht script, who I guess wowed both Scott and the studio with his pitch. The plot revolves around what actually happened on the derelict ship that Ripley and crew discovered in the first movie.

I'm pumped, I love all the alien movies even Alien3 and those horrible Alien Vs Predator movies. Studios just don't make as many cool monster/horror movies like they did in the 80s. If an alien prequel does well maybe a studio will buy the Deepstar Six prequel I've been writing. I don't want to spoil the ending but the hot chick totally lives.

big ups to io9.com on the find
