Swim Links

Talking Ten Years of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' with Two of Its Stars. Good read, BUT I have one bone to pick with Glenn Howerton here. There is ZERO way Dennis isn't a psychopath. He just has to be. I understand that he thinks the character isn't funny if he's a psychopath but you tell me what's funnier. Someone that's repressed their feelings so much that they function as if they were psychopathic or someone that understands the nature of emotions but doesn't actually feel them, leaving them with free reign to exploit other peoples emotions. Also he's an idiot.

Ok, as long as he's an idiot I guess it works either way.

The 26 Weirdest Adult Swim Shows Ever. Great list. The disconnect between the Character Eric Andre played on "Don't trust the B in Apt 23" and Eric Andre on the Eric Andre Show is incredible. Like he should have won all the Oscars or Emmys or whatever awards it is they give to low rated cable tv shows.

Star Wars: Battlefront (4K/Ultra) PC. Wow... just wow. Someone give me like $2,000. Wait, make it $4,000. I need a new PC and a down payment on a car.

The fabled SNES-PlayStation prototype has been turned on and disassembled. In case you haven't heard the story behind this. Before making the Playstation Sony had forged a partnership with Nintendo that would have seen them making CD drives for the SNES and eventually what became the N64. It didn't work out and Sony took all their hardware and made the PS1.

This is what most believe is the only existing prototype. It works! Kind of.

It's Always Links

It’s Always Sunny In Minelandia: Movie Director Announced. This one really came out of left field. I understand that Rob McElhenny has been doing a great job directing episodes of It's Always Sunny but to go from that to what I assume will be a pretty big tentpole film is a pretty big leap. Here's hoping they sneak a rum ham in there somewhere.

Hot Toys Is Making a Sixth-Scale Millennium Falcon That's 18-Feet Long. I'm sure this will never be for sale but I don't care I want it. Hot Toys already makes remarkably accurate figurines imagine what they can do on this large of a scale? I wouldn't be surprised if it has functioning blasters and a holographic chess game.

There Was Nothing in the World Like Action Park. I LOVE stories about Action Park and this is probably as comprehensive of a run down on old "Traction Park" as you're going to get. Man I really wish I could have ridden that looping water slide, just look at that thing. It's as beautiful as it is terrifying.

What 10 Hours Of Walking At Comic-Con As A Female Cosplayer Looks Like. Welp, this is pretty depressing. Go ahead and watch the video or read the article, maybe do both. I don't know how much free time you have.

First off, Yes. If you are going to go dressed up to a Con dressed in a provocative manner you're going to get attention. That's man or woman. Boobs or Butt cheeks. Abs or Flabs. 36 Double D's or a 36 foot long foam sword. But attention shouldn't equal harassment.

Believe it or not you can ask to have your picture taken with someone in a sexy outfit without acting like a complete sleeze-douche.

It's always sunny in bloopertown

Today went a little sideways on me so I didn't get as much hardcore blogging done as I had planned. Here's seven minutes of bloopers from season 6 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as a peace offering. We still cool bro?

Wildcard! Links

the 10 most Vile Actions of the gang at Paddy's pub. If I ever finally cancel cable I'm going to miss this show the most. Just kidding, I'll torrent the hell out of it.

Fan protests Valve for Half-Life 3. I'm pretty sure this is the same thing they're protesting in England. I don't really watch the news.

Frank Darabont was fired from the walking dead. And here I was worried that AMC wasn't comitted to completely screwing over The Walking Dead.

The wrestling diva's guide to fantasy football tight ends. There's an easy "tight end" joke here, but I'm too angry they didn't include my favorite diva, Daffney, to even care.

Fat Mac is Fat

You know The Simpsons episode where Homer puts on a bunch of weight so he can be on disability? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney did it in real life. I mean he kind of did it, he's not wearing am muumuu or anything. Also he did it to get cheap laughs instead of go on disability. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that The Simpsons suck now and Fat Mac looks funny as hell.

Green Man all up in your grill

Honestly this penalty box doesn't seem like much of a penalty.

Dolph Lundgren in the 5th Sense

The Storyboards for Mac and Charlie's movie The Fifth Sense: The Smell of Penetration look pretty good but I think I'm still going to watch Predator.

The Nightman Commeth. Live! The review!

Sitting in the audience watching the guys from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia perform the Nightman Commeth was kind of like sharing an inside joke with 2,500 strangers. It's Always Sunny is a great show but other than like 6 of my best friends I don't know anyone that watches it. Which of course gives a live performance of their opus the Nightman Commeth the indie cred of like a thousand Stephen Malkmuses (which I believe you can exchange for a hundred Conor Obersts). But I digress.. The show was awesome the crowd was live, the stars were hilarious, and the low production value feel of the whole evening kept the experience friendly. Kinda like you were hanging out at charlie's place huffing glue and eating cat food. In short the evening was bad ass.

Here's a few minutes of the show from the House of Blues in Boston, where I'm sure they were treated to many pints of Sam Adams by Tommy from Quinzee.
