All Hail our new kitten overlords
You think any of those "futurists" from the 1950s imagined a world where we could share videos of kittens ridding self propelled vacuum cleaners? No? Well suck on that losers from the 50s, welcome to the future!
Pass/Fail

A bunch of new Watchmen pictures hit the web yesterday and they're all pretty much awesome. I'm not going to sit here and say that the movie will live up to the Graphic Novel, but at least you can tell they're trying.
Of course not to be outdone, a bunch of new GI Joe pictures hit the web this morning, and oh my God they look horrible. Why even call the movie GI Joe? How is that Zartan? Who are the marketing geniuses that decided to strip away everything made GI Joe cool? I swear this movie is going to make House Party 2 look like House Party.
added bonus picture of the Silke Spectre... rowr...
This whole post is pretty much all ripped off from toplessrobot.com. They're awesome.

Ugh... I don't know where to start with this story. Fox news is "reporting" that thanks to Barack Obama the world is finally ready for a black comic book superhero.
"Since their inception, there have been only a few black superheroes in comic books, and fewer still have achieved mainstream appeal....
But Obama's rise to the presidency now has many people in the business of creating and marketing heroes hoping that a black superhero will finally break into mainstream pop culture."

sounds stupid right? wait for it... wait for it....
"Before Obama won the presidency, blacks were largely implausible as superheroes, Craft said.
"I think that there is a perception of black people that America is comfortable with, and I'm not sure the hero role was it," he said. "We can be athletes and rappers, but not Superman."

Bingo! We have a winner for dumbest thing you'll read on-line today. Martin Luther King Jr? sucker. Malcolm X? I'm pretty sure he's a rapper. Booker T. Washington? He was an outfielder for the cards right? Hiram Revels? I think he was on Sanford and Son... wait Hiram Revels was the first black man to serve in the US Senate? Are you sure he wasn't on Sanford and Son, I'm pretty good at remembering these kinds of things...
Ok, back to my point. Fox News sucks... on all levels. Now for your pleasure some black superheroes. A few of which have already been on TV or in movies.

The details here really don't matter. Some Sicilian League team scores on some other Sicillian league team, the ref disallows the goal and the team still paying attention to the game decides it's their turn to score.
I really love it when a ref loses control of a game. Everything turns all Lord of the Flies, players are suddenly looking to bash piggy's head in.

Hilarity Ensues
I'm pretty sure this is what I would do if my future self came to me asking for help.
