On the news a couple weeks ago they had the story of a woman who took her kid to Brazil for a visit with her baby daddy and the guy just stole the kid and the Brazilian government took away her passport. Now she's stuck in Brazil while the courts decide who gets to keep the kid. And apparently that happens ALL THE TIME. Seriously, when are we going to liberate Brazil?

Charlie Kaufman is adapting Slaughterhouse Five for Guillermo Del Toro. I read Slaughterhouse Five just a few months ago so it's pretty fresh in my mind. I liked well enough, but I didn't LOVE it. I'm not so sure why everyone is going crazy over this announcement. I guess when you throw the names Vonnegut, Del Toro and Kaufman in a blender your milkshake brings all the nerds to the yard.
