Trike drifting is the only thing I want to do, ever.

Here's a bunch of bros tooling around town on their modified tricycles. After watching this I've decided the new plan this weekend is to buy a couple old trikes, get some tubing stuff for the rear wheels, a van to tow us and like a thousand band aids. Who's in?

The barefoot dude is insane.

Stop the internet! There's a new Avengers Trailer

My work computer doesn't have any sound. But I think it's safe to assume There's some dramatic music a few pew pews and someone saying Avengers Assemble. It looks really awesome.

BTW, Jeremy Renner is like 5'6", I already hate him as Hawkeye.

Prometheus gets it's viral on

If you're a big nerd you know that we're right in the middle of 2012 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, so I guess it makes sense that the makers of Prometheus would start a viral campaign with an address the 2022 TED.

It doesn't really do anything other than introduce us to Peter Weyland of the Weyland-Yutani company that got everyone in trouble in the first two Alien movies. I don't know, I'm still really excited for this movie but it's not like I'm more excited after seeing this. Just show us some Space Jockeys and get it over with!

Star Wars Kinect looks age appropriate

Hey kids, you like Star Wars? You like dancing games for the Kinect? You like slave girls shaking it for your pleasure? Wait, what did I just say?

The new Star Wars Kinect game has some sort of dancing challenge. Because that's what people want out of a Star Wars Kinect game. More dancing. And since it's never to early to start teaching your kids that it's ok to sexualize everything, there's a level where you dance as Princess Leia in her metal slave bikini.

I swear to you this: if I had received this game for Christmas when I was 13 I would have gone blind.

Treasure Links

The Star Wars Saga: Suggested Viewing order. I've been dwelling on this ever since my son was born. The absolute best order to watch all 6 movies is IV, V, I, II, III, VI. The writer of this particular article suggest that you can eliminate Episode I all together, but If I had to cut out one movie it would be Episode II. It WAY WAY worse than Episode I, it might have more important plot details, but it's not worth it. Just look it up on wikipedia and move along to Episode III.

If Android is a "stolen product" than so is the iPhone. I'll give this to Steve Jobs, he had giant balls. After years of ripping off other companie's ideas he vows to destroy Google over their theft of the iPhone?

PT boat for sale. You guys had better start clicking on those ads. I need a million dollars to buy a Patrol Torpedo boat.

Is the Ark really buried on a small Canadian island? A great read on the treasure pit at Oak Island. Man what I wouldn't give to find a treasure pit in my back yard. Maybe I should just start digging and see what I find.

Winter is still coming

A New Game of Thrones season 2 trailer showed up on the interwebs this weekend. I would have posted it earlier but you know.. I'm lazy.

I just finished reading Game of Thrones a couple weeks ago, so for me this trailer kinda works as a sneak peak at the next book. I really hope someone pushes Sansa out of a window.

I'm sorry did you mean "a haircut"?

I know I'm stupid, but I actually think the iPhone commercial for Siri with the kid that starts his own band is clever. However, this "fan" edited version of the same commercial is well beyond clever, it's epic.

Return of the Jedi Killer

Did you know that Boba Fett actually survived the Sarlacc pit only to get thrown back in it and survive it again? Yeah, it's kind of silly but it happens in one of the thousand of post ROTJ books that are supposed to be "cannon" for the Star Wars Universe.

Of course Boba Fett surviving the Sarlacc pit twice isn't half a silly as Darth Maul surviving getting cut in half.

Comic-Con or bust

Want to watch a trailer for a Morgan Spurlock documentary on San Diego Comic-Con? No? Well I didn't want to hose diarrhea of my son this morning before I got my frst cup of Green Tea. So I guess we don't always get what we want.

Cohagen, give them links!

The Long Strange Saga of Total Recall 2. You have to read this article from io9.com. Not only did we almost get a Total Recall 2 directed by Commander William Riker but we almost got a Total Recall 2 that was in fact an adaption of Minority Report. My mind is blown. Was this all a dream?

CM Punk's Twitter War with Chris Brown. Chris Brown is a clown, but why is CM Punk picking a fight with him? Shouldn't he be more worried about Y2J taking his title at Wrestlemania?

ummm.. I mean no, I don't watch wrestling. Wrestling is for kids.

MegaCon 2012 Cosplay Gallery. Alright, geeksaresexy.net just saved me 2 hours of trying to put together a cosplay gallery. Must be my half birthday already.

George Costanza’s boss at Kruger Industrial Smoothing shot himself in the head. And lived to make the calmest 911 call you've ever heard. Seriously, this is some morbidly fascinating stuff.

Lego Millennium Falcon, Assemble!

Uber-nerd Francisco Prieto will see your Lego Millennium Falcon and raise you a 3-D CGI Lego Millenium Falcon. You can watch the virtual build process with this video, which was created over a 3 year period using 3ds max, and V-Ray.

You know, It's one thing to read the words "5,000 piece lego Millennium Falcon", but it's a whole other thing to watch all 5,000 pieces go together. Virtual or not, this is totally mind bottling.

A bazilliondier more guns

Borderlands was one of those games that I always wanted to play but never got around too it, mostly because at the time I was addicted to COD. Well it's a new year and I've yet to pick up a new game addiction. Maybe I'll actually get Borderlands 2. The idea of FPS mechanics mixed with a dungeon crawler sort of level and item system really floats my boat.

Shut it Worf

Here's 15 minutes of Worf getting his ideas shot down by pretty much everyone in the Enterprises' Command Crew. It's kind of depressing, I mean think of how much more awesome the show if they had just once listened to the Klingon.

New Mass Effect 3 trailer

The new Mass Effect 3 "cinematic" trailer hit the interwebs this morning but I was too busy doing my taxes to put it up. Good news, I don't owe the federal government 10 grand this year!

Maybe I'll pick up a copy of Mass Effect 2 for cheap when Mass Effect 3 hits the shelves.

New Avengers Trailer.. sort of

Ok, so technically while this fan made trailer is new, it doesn't actually container any new footage. It's just made from all the existing footage out there plus clips from Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor and The Incredible Hulk. It's really really good, way better than the trailer Marvel put out during the Super Bowl.

Kate Upton Rejects Darren Rovell on Valentines day. If you don't know who Darren Rovell is, all you need to know is he's an assclown that thinks he's king of twitter. If you don't know who Kate Upton is you're new to the internet aren't you?

Karateka Gets Reboot, Bird Punching Makes a Comeback! Karateka is one of my favorite Apple II games. I spent hours upon hours trying to beat this game back in the day. Hopefully the remake will be just as awesome.

The 10 Strangest Short-Lived Supervillain Makeovers. I'm not sure if all 10 of these qualify as "strange". If you hire Frank Cho to draw Ultron you really need to expect him to give Ultron giant boobs.

Game of Thrones Valentines day cards

The Hodor one is my favorite.

The FP

I swear to you I thought this was a fake trailer, turns out it's a real movie about a post-apocalyptic society that settles it's grudges with Dance Dance Revolution battles. I haven't been this excited about a movie that I know I'll never see in a theater since the Expendables.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Trailer

Did you know that noted vampire hunter Van Helsing's first name was Abraham. Coincidence? I think not.

RIP: Power Girl's boob window

Power girl is a pretty minor character in the DC universe. She's been around since the 70s but her origin and powers always seem to be in flux. One day she's Superman's cousin, then she's a Atlantean Princess last I remember she was the sole survivor of the alternate universe known as Earth 2. Of course what's Power Girl is really well known for is big boobs.. that and depending on who you ask, the worst designed costume of all time.

I throw in the "depending on who you ask" because as ridiculous as the boob window on her costume is, there are plenty out there that defend it. Spend 2 seconds on tumblr and you'll quickly find that one person's sexism is another's female empowerment. Either way, the boob window is no more. Power Girl is getting a reboot in the new 52 and her new costume is about as modest as a white spandex unitard's gonna get.

So not only did they rip off Supreme they did it in the most boring way possible.

The Saturday Night Live Verizon Ad

I bought my wife a new cell phone for Christmas this year. I told her I was a bit jealous because it was a 4G phone. She then asked me what the difference was between 4G and 3G. I told her it was 1G. True story.

George Lucas said... ARGH (BRAIN EXPLODES)

Just in case you hadn't already heard it over at the 1,000 other geek blogs, George Lucas now says that Greedo always shot first.

The controversy over who shot first, Greedo or Han Solo, in Episode IV, what I did was try to clean up the confusion, but obviously it upset people because they wanted Solo to be a cold-blooded killer, but he actually isn't. It had been done in all close-ups and it was confusing about who did what to whom. I put a little wider shot in there that made it clear that Greedo is the one who shot first, but everyone wanted to think that Han shot first, because they wanted to think that he actually just gunned him down.

In the words of comic book guy.. worst director ever.

The Walking Links

Lock up your Zombies, Tony Moore is suing everyone. Ok so he's just suing his Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman. Still you should get in the habit of locking up your zombies. They may look all cute and snugly but they can be very dangerous.

The Double Fine Adventure Game breaks Kickstater record. So Tim Shafer and Double Fine games raised 1.3 million dollars for their old school adventure game project in about a day. Too bad the market for adventure games just isn't there, right EA?

Fighting Big Cable's encryption initiative. Remember when you were able to get basic cable right from the wall without a translator box to rent or anything? Yeah, those days are long over.

Is controlling the commodities market child's play? Some nerdy economist is trying to prove how easy it is to manipulate the commodities market by buying an overwhelming share of Ram Man collectibles.

Tim Schafer wants your money

I don't have time to spend a long flowery intoduction of this video. Here's the gist: Tim Schafer has started a project on Kickstarter with the intention of making an old-school adventure game. Here's a video with his presentation, it's beyond awesome. Just watch it.

Dramatic Interpretations of Facebook

Ugh.. this week has been brutal for blogging. There was the Spider-Man and Avengers trailers and then nothing. Oh well, here's a skit reenacting some teenagers facebook posts. It's pretty funny.

I spit my last brick at thee

Uber nerd Trekker Christer Nyberg has built the definitive Lego USS Reliant. You know, the federation ship Kahn spacejacked in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. It's made from 10-15,000 bricks and has light up features and a working cargo bay.

This is probably my favorite giant Lego space ship I've seen on the web. It probably says more about how much I love Star Trek II than anything else. I swear I slept with my blanket pulled up over my head until I was 13. I was so afraid of those little earworm things getting me while I slept.

KAAAAHHHHNNNNN!

The Amazing Spider-Man

A trailer for the Amazing Spider-Man hit the interwebs last night. It looks really really good. Lucky for me it hits theaters right around my birthday. Who wants to babysit?

Clint Eastwood is the Hero Gotham deserves

yeah yeah, it's another Super Bowl commercial. Sort of. Someone took the Clint Eastwood Chrysler commercial from the Super Bowl and mashed it up with the new Dark Knight Rises trailer. It's pretty awesome.

The Avengers Super Bowl Trailer

If you're anything like me when the new Avengers commercial aired during the Super Bowl, you couldn't hear it because of all the talking adults and screaming kids. Also if you're anything like me you have awesome hair, congrats.

Here's that Avengers commercial again, for the both of us.

Lollipop Chainsaw just got groovier

Ok, so we're all familiar with Lollipop Chainsaw, correct? Turns out if you pre-order it from, I don't know lets say Gamestop, you get 5 extra outfits. Who cares, right? Well when one of those outfits is inspired by Ash from the Evil dead movies, this guy cares.

Of course this guy cares too much, he cares so much he's actually kind of upset that the developers didn't actually give Lollipop (I assume that's her name) a chainsaw for a hand. Instead she's just holding an ordinary chainsaw. I mean what's the point, right?

Oh well, still looks better than Dead Island.

Lego Captain America

A lot of comic book fans got upset when the new/old Captain America, Bucky Barnes, added a gun to Cap's repitoire. Post WWII Cap had a pretty strict no killing policy, so it was certainly a departure for the character.

Of course Lego Captain America has always used a gun. And a knife... seriously, this video gets pretty gruesome pretty quick.

Hungy Hungry Links

New Hunger Games Trailer. I finished reading the Hunger Games last week, it was ok. I understand why it's popular with teenage girls but it never really clicked with me. It's sort of like Twilight except instead of sparkling the dreamy guy smells like bread.

The 5 most rediculously sexist superhero costumes. Good read, but how one earth can you leave off Bomb Queen? Is it because she's a super-villain or is it because she's super-awesome?

ComicsAlliance critiques the fashions of G.I. Joe. Looking back on it, most GI Joe costumes don't hold up very well. I guess flared pants and cod pieces peaked in the 80s.

It's a good day to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan. These new TMNT toys look amazing. I can already tell Christmas 2012 is going to be full of hard decisions. I might have to sell some blood to get my hands on the sewer playset. For my son of course.

Chill out R2

Here's an ad for Star Wars The Phantom Menace in 3D. It's awful. I know it's aimed at kids, but it's still so awful. I don't like to throw around the phrase "worst than Hitler" but I'm pretty sure this is indeed worse than Hitler.

Obviously the advertising wizards that put this thing together have never actually met a kid. My kid is 2 and he thought it was condescending. Kids love things that look cool, they don't love some guy with a wacky effected accent telling them JUST HOW ZANY something is. It's freaking Star Wars, it sells itself.

I'll let Rob over at ToplessRobot point out the best part:
When the narrator says, "Hurry up, Qui-Gon, you don't want to be late for the celebration!" As you might recall, QUI-GON IS COMPLETELY DEAD AT THAT POINT IN THE MOVIE AND ALSO THEY SET HIS CORPSE ON FIRE. So he might be a touch tardy, kids.

GI Joe 2 looks good.. there I said it

Lets put it this way, if G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra had never been made you would be pumped and jacked for G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Snake-Eyes shoots down Storm Shadow's throwing stars with an Uzi. Case closed.

Watchmen babies is a go

In a move that surprised no one other than the gnomes living in Alan Moore's beard, DC announced this morning a new series of Watchmen comics titled Before Watchmen. Here's the rundown on the titles and the writers and artists involved.

RORSCHACH (4 issues) – Writer: Brian Azzarello. Artist: Lee Bermejo
MINUTEMEN (6 issues) – Writer/Artist: Darwyn Cooke
COMEDIAN (6 issues) – Writer: Brian Azzarello. Artist: J.G. Jones
DR. MANHATTAN (4 issues) – Writer: J. Michael Straczynski. Artist: Adam Hughes
NITE OWL (4 issues) – Writer: J. Michael Straczynski. Artists: Andy and Joe Kubert
OZYMANDIAS (6 issues) – Writer: Len Wein. Artist: Jae Lee
SILK SPECTRE (4 issues) – Writer: Darwyn Cooke. Artist: Amanda Conner

If you're nerdy like me you'll be pretty impressed with the creators they have lined up to work on this. If you're not, you probably stopped reading this a few minutes ago and just scrolled down to ogle Nicole Scherzinger's cleavage some more.

Of course this whole thing is a terrible idea. Watchmen doesn't need a sequel or a prequel or anything, it's perfect the way it is. DC should spend their time either getting better creative teams on their main books or letting their artists and writers work on more original properties. I get it, the 80s were a great decade for comics, instead of mining the past (crisis's for everyone!) why not try and make the 2010s another great decade for comics?
