Borderlands 3 Official Reveal Trailer

Holy carp does this game look good. Outside of the occasional switch game with my son I haven't been gaming a whole lot lately. I spent almost a year and a half completely addicted to Overwatch and when I finally got that monkey off my back I didn't want to automatically replace it with some other giant time suck. BUT I might have to make an exception for Borderlands 3.

Assuming I can play it on my PC of course, I can't imagine it's getting a Switch release. In theory I'd love to pick up a PS4 but my son needs like 4 grand in orthodontist work and I am broke. Whatever, I'll find a way to play this. Borderlands 2 is one of my favoritist games of the last 10 years, if it turns out even half as good as this trailer makes it look, there is zero chance I'm missing 3.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I got really excited when I woke up this morning and saw there was a new Borderlands game coming out this year, then after watching the video I got a bit less excited. The last non-Lego video game I played on the 360 was Borderlands 2, which I loved, so why am I luke warm on the Pre-Sequel? Probably because it's made by a different developmental team and looks to be mostly the same code as Borderlands 2. I wouldn't quite call it $59.99 DLC but that's sort of the vibe I'm getting. Let's just say that if this hits store shelves at anything less than full price I'm going to be VERY suspicious.

Mr. Torgues Campaign of Carnage Trailer

I'm not gonna lie, this new Borderlands DLC couldn't have come at a worst time. My parents are in town, and while I love them very much, they're cramping my video game style by occupying the room with the TV that the xbox is hooked up to.

I haven't beat Borderlands 2 yet, so I haven't even looked at the other DLC they've released but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get the season's pass. Season's passes for games are a sucker deal aren't they? I mean I get that usually when you get a pass like this (or elite, or pro or whatever the publisher is calling it) you usually save on all the DLC released for the game. Still, it basically means you're paying $100 for a new game. When did that happen? I feel like I'm getting ripped off, I'm getting ripped off, right?

Oppa Borderlands Style

I saw this on Reddit this morning and thought I would share. I know Gangnam style is totally played out at this point but this still made me laugh. Also I've been playing so much Borderlands 2 lately I think my brain is starting to warp. I keep expecting to see guns and ammo in every drawer/box/door I open.

Reach all new levels of Badassness

Early word on the street is that Pax was pretty cool this year. A friend of mine got a copy of Far Cry 3 and a free mohawk. Technically I think you got the game if you agreed to let them cut your hair in a mohawk, but I used to pay like 9 bucks at the Greenwood styling academy for a good mohawk, so a free mohawk is a good deal.

Anyway, Borderlands 2 has gone gold and is due in stores middle of this month. There are a lot of hands on at PAX videos out there but this extended trailer released a couple days ago is better than most. It's certainly better than watching the developers try and backpedal over this whole "girlfriend mode fiasco" they're still dealing with.

Long story long I think I'm picking this up. I love RPG elements in first person shooters and I'm still a big fan of split screen gaming. Plus you know, the bazillion guns. 59.99 for a bazillion guns is still a pretty good deal.

Call of Duty what?

Here's a new Borderlands trailer, it introduces us to the game's main baddie, Handsome Jack. It's a handsome trailer indeed.

I've heard that the first Borderlands was really heavy on the co-op and not as much fun to play single player. I hope that's not the case. I'm not a big fan of playing co-op games with strangers on-line and almost none of my friends are available to play when I am. Oh well, first world problems right?

Borderlands 2 still looks pretty cool

A new trailer for Borderlands 2 hit the intertubes today. It really caught my attention for a couple different reasons. First off I'm looking for a new game. I'm halfway through skyrim and I'm totally burnt out on it. At first all the side missions are great but now it feels like the whole game is side missions and there's no real plot. For a game of the year candidate I'm actually surprised at how many people I've run into that also game up on the game before they beat it. I tried jumping back on the Battlefield 3 train but EA messed up their servers and it's hard to find a game that doesn't last over an hour and is jacked up by a bunch of wacky rules.

Also I got home from my soccer game tonight at 11pm and it was still 79 degrees in the house. The basement (where the xbox is) is a good 10 degrees cooler so either I can keep looking for riddler trophies in Arkham City or I can sweat my balls off watching Big Brother and 90210 reruns.

Where was I? Oh yeah, Borderlands 2 looks pretty cool.

Borderlands was one of those games that I always wanted to play but never got around too it, mostly because at the time I was addicted to COD. Well it's a new year and I've yet to pick up a new game addiction. Maybe I'll actually get Borderlands 2. The idea of FPS mechanics mixed with a dungeon crawler sort of level and item system really floats my boat.

Video Game - E3 2009 - Video Game Trailers

Again, I'm not sure what this has to do with Comics but 2K games premiered a new Trailer for their upcoming game Borderlands at Comic Con yesterday. Looks pretty good, I like the idea of adding RPG style leveling to a good FPS. Add in co-op and a bunch of gore and I'm good to go.
