So this afternoon Microsoft pulled a 180 on it's post 360 Xbox DRM plans. If you want to read it go ahead, it's kinda funny in that you rarely see a big tech company cave on a big issue like this so quickly. I guess the internet wins this round?

That's a lot of Drugs

Far be it from me to give TMZ more attention than they already get, but they just posted a list of drugs found by police officers when Neverland Ranch was searched in 2003. I gotta say, this was pretty surprising. At the time the police ignored it since it wasn't germane to molesting boys, which surprised me a bit. Now technically I only passed the bar in Barbados, but I was taught that it's easier to make a case against a raging dope fiend than it is a sober upstanding citizen.

-- A vial of Versed -- a powerful sedative
-- Several IV bags containing "a milky white fluid, located in a small cardboard box on top of the bathtub." Propofol and other anesthesias are milky white. As we first reported, Propofol was in Jackson's home the day he died.
-- A vial of Promethazine -- an antihistamine with strong sedative effects
-- A bottle of Alprazolam (generic for Xanax, a powerful anti-anxiety drug)
-- A bottle of Percocet -- a painkiller
-- A syringe
-- A vial with Demerol in it
-- Numerous loose pills outside bottles
-- A bottle of Prednisone -- a steroid

-- Prescriptions for Xanax that had been filled

I've never done drugs, but at what point does it become easier just to smoke some crack? I mean isn't it easier to get someone to score you some heroin than it is to get a prescription to Propofol, a drug that has to be administered by an anesthesiologist?

I'm not saying that this is a video clip of UFC star Rampage Jackson sexually assaulting some poor reporter during an interview, but lets just say the alternate title to this clip is "state's evidence A".

Comcast and ESPN hate soccer and you

So if you're like me on Wednesday morning one of the first things you did is read Soccer by Ives' Matchday preview and you discovered that ESPN had moved the USMNT Wold Cup qualifying game against Costa Rica to from ESPN to ESPN2. However if you're not unhealthily obsessed with the mens national team and you don't have a couple hours to kill on-line everyday, you probably missed the memo. And if you were counting on watching the game later in the evening on your DVR you were probably screwed. ESPN knew on Tuesday evening after the Women's Softball World Series ended in 2 games that they were going to switch the game over to the Deuce, but the Comcast channel guide never updated the listing for the game. So I hope you enjoyed 2 hours of poker. It was a hundred times more enjoyable than watching los Gringos get their butts handed to them by Los Ticos.

Holy Non-Event,Batman!

Do you remember where you were when Batman died? If you were anything like me you were sitting behind a computer saying "what they killed batman, when did that happen?".

Last Week DC comics finally put the final nail in the coffin on the Batman RIP storyline. You know the one that started last May in Batman and somehow finished last week in the pages of Final Crisis (huh?). I'm sure you saw all the media coverage of the big event, you know right after the bazillion news stories on the very special Spider-man Obama issue. Cause if there's something you can count on the main stream press to cover, it's comic books.

Seriously could DC have screwed this up more? When they killed Superman it was everywhere, even when Marvel Comics decided to put down Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, it was on the front page of USA Today. And lets face it, Captain America is great but he's no Batman. Someone at DC needs to get it together. No one but the hardest core of DC zombies thinks they're making the right editorial decisions these days. The house that Superman built deserves better.

If I wanted to write a story where batman was forced to retire, I think I could do it without heroin addiction and orgies, but that's just me. I'm creative like that.
