Impersonating Links

More Fun Fact About Indiana Jones. Now this was a fantastic list of obscure movie facts. Porkins was in Raiders? Harrison Ford crashed a plane? An Elephant ate Kate Capshaw's dress? This list is gold Jerry, Gold!

4 Horrifying Facts About the Sexy Halloween Costume Industry. I'm not sure I would go so far as Horrifying, maybe disturbingly interesting?

Seattle Times Furious with FBI over Allegations That the Agency Impersonated the Newspaper. I don't know exactly how "furious" the Seattle Times could really be. The FBI was trying to catch someone sending bomb threats to local high schools. Long story short they made up a e-mail that looked like a survey from the Times, sent it to him and it infected his computer with spyware that allowed them to find him. It was a targeted attack and it's not like they were looking for someone with an overdue library book. They were looking for a potential school bomber. Oh yeah and it was 15 YEARS AGO. Maybe the Times needs to chillax on this one.

BTW, the Beastie Boys in Sabotage is what I imagine every FBI agent looks like.

Stephen Colbert Took On #GamerGate In Glorious Fashion. Right when this thing is getting some national attention I'm starting to think the whole GamerGate thing is played out. It's a small group of assholes. Don't give them anymore attention and they'll go away. Still Colbert is funny and we only have so many episodes left before he replaced Letterman...

I do declare this to be my last GamerGate post, short of one of those idiots blowing up a gamestop or something.

Public Links

A collection of Seattle public access TV stars. Hey it's that guy, and that other guy. I kinda of remember them!

Full disclosure, I didn't have cable TV growing up. So my entire exposure to the public access channel was relegated to sleep overs and slumber parties at friends houses. Still, I remember watching that guy ramble about Courtney Love murdering Kurt Cobain. Or the guy that would play porn clips every once in a while. Of course they were never porn clips you wanted to see, it was always like middle aged hairy Europeans getting it on. Just terrible stuff.

20 Halloween Costumes That Will Destroy Your Childhood. Destroy my childhood might be a bit of an overstatement. Still, who thought sexy Oscar the Grouch was a good idea?

A Live-Action, Nightwing-Centered ‘Teen Titans’ Show Is Coming, But There’s A Catch. Man, DC really is looking to corner the Superhero to small screen marketplace. Arrow, Flash, Gotham, now rumors of Teen Titans and a Supergirl project? Teen Titans, sorry I mean Titans, seems like an absolute slam dunk. The cartoon from the early aughts was super popular, those kids have grown up and are right in the CW's target demographic. Play down the action so you can make it on the cheap and play up the melodrama and boom you've hit the Smallville sweet spot.

Complete Starcade Episodes Online. Hey kids remember Starcade? No? Hey middle aged adults, remember Starcade? Thought so.

How “Empire Records” Became The Unlikely Film Of A Generation. Ugh... Empire Records is a fun movie but let's get one thing straight it's a stupid movie. Sure, I'll watch the hell out of it Saturday at 10am but "the film of a generation", who honestly thinks that? This is all about the iGenerations's rampant nostalgia. I swear if I read one more article about how something that was incredibly mediocre was AMAZING just because it came out in 1995 I'm going to barf.

That being said.. Liv Tyler in this movie cangetit

Cosplay Kitchen: Avengers Cookies

"Let's dress up like the Avengers and make superhero shaped cookies" is something my wife has never said. Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with her either...

Links Explain it All

Best, Sluttiest and Weirdest Store-Bought Halloween Costumes for 2013. I love these 1966 Batman TV Show inspired costumes. I might buy one just for fun. Casual Fridays at work and all..

Clarissa Explains All The Drugs She Did. Back in the day when I was young and single, having a subscription to Maxim sounded like a good idea. I vividly remember the Melissa Joan Hart issue. Kinda sad to hear she was all hopped up on drugs when she did it. Still not as sad as the Melissa and Joey TV show. That was clearly rock bottom.

NBA Jam Was Rigged Against The Chicago Bulls. I LOVE this, screw the Michael Joranless Chicago Bulls. There was nothing worse then getting beaten by Scottie Pippin and f'ing Horace Grant. Not that I was ever getting beaten or anything. At the machine by my house I had the record for the longest winning streak and best winning percentage. 16-0 Baby!

6 Sexist Video Game Problems Even Bigger Than the Breasts. The second to last one on this list is the one that really grinds my gears. There's no reason there shouldn't be more playable female characters in video games. I have a daughter now this sexist nonsense is important to me now!

Also I've heard the last Tomb Raider game is really good.

2012 Comic-Con Cosplay: Comics Everybody!

It's sort of become tradition around here that after every San Diego Comic-Con I put together a post full of awesome/crazy cosplayers. I have a TON of cosplay pics from this year's Comic-Con so to help keep everything fresh and a bit more digestible I'm going to break them up into special categories. The Comics Everybody! edition celebrates people who actually go to a comic book convention dressed up as comic book characters. Not movies or TV shows (as awesome as those can be) but actual comic books, you know... the whole reason the convention was started in the first place.

Jessica Nigri, queen of the con or queen of the cleave?

great integration of a fanny pack

Ack, cutest kid EVER!

more after the jump!

Microsoft to offer $99 Xbox 360 bundle with service commitment. Big big rumors this morning that Microsoft is going to offer a $99 Xbox 360/Kinect bundle so long as you sign up for a a 2 year subscription to some Xbox Live gold+ service (no idea what that plus will represent other than 15 dollars a month). In my opinion Microsoft is smart to take a flyer on this idea before they release the Xbox 1080. If they can undercut Sony and Nintendo's pricing by offering subscription discounts when the new round of consoles hit the market, watch out man. They'll be swimming in market share.

21 photos of awesome Black Widow cosplay. Just in time for The Avengers in theaters this Friday, Buzzfeed has gathered a bunch of Black Widow cosplayers. I'm not sure I'd call all of them "awesome" but hey, boobs.

The Gayness of Batman: A Brief History. Current Batman scribe and English gentleman Grant Morrison made a big whoopdy doo on the net last week when he said that "Gayness is built into Batman. ... Batman is very, very gay". Comics Alliance takes a better look at why everyone thinks the caped crusader is light in the loafers.

Kate Upton dancing in a string bikini. You might not have noticed it yesterday but the internet shut down for a few minutes when photographer Terry Richardson posted this video of Kate Upton doing something called the "cat daddy".

Oh hi Catwoman's butt

The first hi-rez (I refuse to call a picture HD) shot of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman costume from The Dark Knight Rises hit the interwebs today. Two questions:

Why does a cat burglar need a glock?

High Heels, really?

Other than those little nitpicks, I think she looks pretty good. A lot better than Scarlett Johansson looks in the Avengers. Congrats DC, you've officially won the battle of summer movie nerd boners.

Comic-Con Cosplay; Special achievement in hotness edition

Boobs!

I have a TON of cosplay pics from this years big San Diego Comic-Con. Just to help make everything a bit more digestible I'm going to break them up into different categories. This, The Special Achievement in Hotness edition, highlights some of the cosplayers that put the "T" & "A" into Cosplay (I'm not a strong speller).

Now that's a Captain America that will make you "stand up and salute"

Sexy (?) Marvel Pajamas

It's my Wife's birthday this week and I still haven't bought her a gift. I've kinda been stumped this year, that is until I saw these Marvel Superheroine pajamas over at bleedingcool. I'm sure there's no way she'll be weirded out with the idea that I want to dress her up as sexy Captain America or She-Hulk.

Cosplay on parade

I wouldn't consider myself someone who's afraid to let their geek flag fly. I'm not quite Sheldon Cooper when it comes to my collection of nerdy t-shirts but I have my share. With that being said I don't think I'll be making the jump from Captain America t-shirt to actually gluing little white wings onto a vinyl mask.

In honor of those willing to strap on the spandex and in the spirit of convention season, here's a bunch of pics from my cosplay folder (yes the theme this week is clearing off my HD).

Invisible plane or not, you're never escaping the gaze of Faptain America

"Tetsuo!!!"

"but dad I wanted to be Yoda"
"shut up son, you don't know what you want"

This is just brilliant but it needs more Zoey

A female Ash? will wonders ever cease?

ok wonders just ceased

"but dad I want to be Batman"
"shut up son, you don't know what you want"

nude Jean Grey. yeah that should pad the hits w/google image search

Batman and Robin fight the Joker, Batgirl fights jaywalking

"here baby let me show you how it's done"

"yeah I know where the distributor is but where's the hyperdrive?"

"rafael is cool but crude.."

Comics are for kids!

Finally a collectible statue that will tell my fellow co-workers how much I love comics and whores! Thanks Marvel, how soon can I get you my 200 dollars?

I'm not sure what this one tells them...
