That's not The Miz, That's Mike Mizanin

I'm a bit late in posting this but... oh well? Last Tuesday on the WWE network show Talking Smack former WWE champion Daniel Bryan called the Miz a coward, to his face, and we got to see what happens when the Miz decides to stop being polite and start being real. Seriously I haven't see The Miz this worked up since Real World vs Road Rules when someone did something to someone, probably while drunk, it was probably Coral.

The internet pretty much lost it's shit over this promo, saying it was a complete shoot (inside term for when wrestlers go off script and say what they really mean). I'm sure it wasn't a shoot, The Miz would probably get fired if it was, but at the same time I'm pretty sure the Miz is venting some very real frustration. Hopefully he get more opportunities like this, he could and should be one of the biggest heels on Smackdown. Also he was pretty great in Santa's Little Helper. Hopefully that movie gets a sequel.

Seattle's LEGO Superstar: Alice Finch Goes 'Beyond the Brick'. Having seen Alice Finch's work in person I feel like I'm qualified to say "holy crap she makes good Lego things". The Rivendale build is even better than the Hogwarts one she did. The amount of detail in setting up all the scenes and getting all the geography to look right is amazing. Plus the cool stuff like the tide of horses is just crazy. Even after reading this interview I have no idea how she does it.

Confessions of a serial reality TV star. I'm not sure there will ever be a day where I'm not fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes of MTV's The Real World (or any spin-off). This behind the scenes look from Susie Meister is a bit dry and at times self congratulatory but it's an interesting read none the less. Irene touches on the casting process, what it was actually like to film the show and just how much the city of Seattle hated the cast. Oh man how I remember that. You could tell everyone in Seattle was both super excited to get the attention of a show like the Real World and super excited to show a national TV audience how little we cared about a show as crass and fake as The Real World. The local indy papers would have reports every week of where the cast was and what they were doing all of them super snarky. It was sort of the most Seattle thing ever. Caring about showing others how little you care.

Hey kids, remember Trishelle from the Real World Las Vegas? What, you don't? Well, she was the one that even after a pregnancy scare, refused to use protection while having sex with one of her roommates. Sure that doesn't sound like much these days but back in 2002 it was the most incredible Real World season ever. Well she's back, and staring in what looks like a horrible movie called Ninja Cheerleaders. check out the trailer and try to explain to me why cheerleader = stripper? I guess when you're also a ninja you need to make sure you keep your resume diverse.
