really, all this over Wonder Woman?

So I saw the new Wonder Woman costume design this morning and was full of meh. That was until both the local and national news ran stories on it. I mean really, did they finally stop that oil spill? National TV coverage for a freakin' Wonder Woman redesign, it's like we're living in OZ.

First off lets get this out the way immediately. The redesign sucks. I'm all for sexing her down a bit but the super 90s leather jacket is ridiculous and who in their right mind would try and pair a tiara and yoga pants?

Now about the media coverage. Wonder Woman's had about a thousand different looks. Here's a few.


Now I don't remember any news stories when she started wearing that awful white pantsuit thing, and that was just 4 years ago. I swear some publicist at Warner Brothers must have just cashed in a favor. Batman died 2 years ago and it barely made a ripple. I guess the lesson learned is that if DC had really wanted to move some books they should have just put him in a sleeveless tee.
