Some People Stand In That Darkness

Welp, here's your first look at the Baywatch Movie, so that's definitely still a thing. Clear your calendar for May 26, 2017. You're going to want to see all that bouncing and jiggling opening night.

Some People Stand In The Links

David Hasselhoff Once Gave Pam Anderson a Swimsuit Photo of Himself for Christmas. This is the most Hoff thing ever. I hope he still does it. Like I hope that's all he gets anyone for Christmas or Birthdays or Chanukah. A CD from 1997 and that picture of him in naked in front of the fireplace with the wrinkly dogs (not pictured for various google image search reasons).

Those Louis C.K. Sexual Abuse Rumors Might Actually Be True. Man, this sounds awful and I'm sure I'm being very reckless in linking to something like this that names names with out any real evidence. HOWEVER, removed from the wild speculation there's a very real story there. Some big name in comedy is totes sexually harassing/assaulting women and getting away with it because everyone is afraid for their career. It's amazing that post Cosby there's still this gross protective old boys club bullshit.

CleanBayArea on NBC to give $100,000 back to the owner of Apple 1 computer. Someone dropped off an Apple 1 at a Bay Area PC recycler. Now I understand that 4k of Ram might not be top of the line anymore but that's no reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Especially when the baby sells for six figures.

Women’s National Teams Are Now IN THE GAME In EA Sports’ ‘FIFA 16′. Cool news. I would imagine there are going to be a ladies introduced to the FIFA franchise because of this. Finally both Boys and Girls can know the frustration of the computer TOTALLY CHEATING! WHY IS THEIR KEEP SO GOOD AND MINE SUCKS SO BAD? WHY WON'T ANYONE MAKE A RUN?

2012, the mediocrity is strong with this blog

It's almost January 1st and that means year end recap time. I feel like 2012 was the year I hit my blogging stride. Page views per day are up from under 100 to over 500 and I've getting way more spam bots posting comments so I must be doing something right.

Without further ado here are the 10 most popular posts of the year (which in the end is completely meaningless given that the front page is still the single most popular destination and I almost never use click-throughs).

For whatever reason (cough Diora Baird picture cough) the recap of 2011 was the most popular post of 2012. That's why I wanted to get this years recap out of the way before we rolled into January.

Speculation on the next generation of video game consoles was big this year. Two posts about the Xbox 361 and Playstation 3.2 were in my top ten. Next year I predict made up news about the Dreamcast 2 will dominate the top ten.

.. The Blurst of Times: The Choice. If you haven't got it yet, The Blurst of Times is a reference to a Simpsons episode where Mr Burns hires a thousand monkeys on a thousand type writers to write the greatest novel ever written. I know, a blogger who uses random Simpsons quotes, I'm clearly one in a million.

Summer Glau and hover hands at comic-con. If there was ever one image that sums up the entirety of my 4 years of blogging I think it might be this one.

NFL replacement refs are not good enough for the LFL. I'm pretty sure DevilDinosaur.com is the premier place for hard hitting Crotch Gout and Lingerie Football news. If it isn't, well there's always next year.

The oral history of Baywatch. If you missed it the first time you have to check it out the second time. Also this is a good time to reflect on that week that Donna D'Errico hosted Talk Soup. That was a pretty good week.

Harley Quinn's butt. Arkham City was easily the best game I played in 2012 so even though the Harley Quinn DLC was pretty poor, I'm glad something related to the game made it into the top 10.

Say goodbye to Power Girls boob window. This year was a weird year in comic book fandom. You saw a real explosion of attractive women embracing their inner geek with sexy cosplay juxtaposed with a movement to clean up what's seen as pervy art in comics. Personally I feel like if you're not cosplaying or drawing comics you should just shut your trap and let the artistically inclined have their fun.

Comic-Con cosplay. Speak of the devil, Cosplay posts are still pretty popular here. This year I was contacted by a couple of cosplayers who I had made fun of on the blog a couple years ago. I felt terrible. From now on I'm only focusing on the positive.

oh hi catwoman's butt. Speaking of the positive....

In addition to the top 10 posts of the year I also like to highlight the top ten search words or phrases that have brought new viewers to the blog. This year is pretty similar to last year. joseph gordon-levitt (1,794), not provided (1,493), scarlett johansson avengers (868), deadpool cosplay (474) nicole scherzinger boobs (474), scarlett johansson the avengers (387), joseph gordon levitt (364), kate upton boobs (296), peter crouch meme (249), nicole scherzinger tits (241),

Also this year I would like to send a special shout out to Bing. The search engine that brings in 1.2 percent of all visits. Good work Microsoft. Next year with your help, we'll get that chicken.

I'll be ready...Links

Former Baywatch Star’s Quest For Noah’s Ark Cancelled By Rockslides, Kidnapping Threats. If you read the amazeballs Oral History of Baywatch I linked to a couple months ago you already knew that former Baywatch starlet (and amazing Talk Soup fill in host) Donna D'Errico was looking for Noah's Ark. Here's her story.

Every Positive Headphone Review, ever. This times a thousand. I really need to replace a pair of Sonys I've had for like 7 years and every headphone review on-line is pointless. Why can't Fry's or Best Buy just have a section where you can listen to headphones? It's like they have the Bose display and that's it. Imagine if they did that with laptops. There's one Macbook you can type on and everything else is sealed tightly in a plastic clamshell. My guess is Apple would sell a lot more Macbooks.

Fan-Made “Game of Thrones” Game Inspired by RISK. How this isn't a real licensed product yet, I have no idea. Someone get thinkgeek.com on this.

23 Comic Book Panels Taken Out of Context. A lot of these are of Batman and Robin. I mean a lot.

Some people stand in the Links

Baywatch: The Oral History. THIS IS MINDBLOWING! But it's about Baywatch you say, how mind blowing can it really be you ask.. "Donna D'Errico declined to be interviewed. In an e-mail, D'Errico told Esquire.com of her plans to climb Mount Ararat to search for Noah's Arc." That's right, Noah's freaking Ark. And D'Errico's the one without the giant coke habit, I'm looking at you Bleeth, Jackson, Hasselhoff, etc. Seriously, I'm like halfway through this thing and It's just awesome.

btw, was there a hotter woman on TV in 1991 than Erika Eleniak?

8 Forgotten '80s Live-action children's sci-fi series. Oh I did not forget about you Captain Power. I craved one of those stupid captain power light gun vehicles for SOOOO long. The kind that you could shoot things on the TV and rack up points. Then when I finally got one for Christmas the show was moved to 6am on Saturdays. I think I played with it once.

James Cameron's X-Men movie could have had Bob Hoskins as Wolverine. My favorite part of this story told by X-Men writer Chris Claremont is how quickly James Cameron lost all interest in an X-men movie. All it took was Stan Lee saying "So, I hear you like Spider-Man too?". Then like a thousand lawyers showed up and 15 years later we finally saw a Spider-Man movie. Thanks for nothing Stan.

Hotties of the Hunger Games. A little something for the ladies.
