Hands on with the Nintendo Wii U. This is the most interesting article I've read on the Wii U yet. I hate to sound like a naysayer but I'm getting a real Dreamcast vibe from this thing. I'm sure they'll ship a lot of units initially but it's likely to get caught between console generations and fizzle out quickly. What is Xbox SmartGlass? It seems the internet is divided into 2 camps over the new Xbox SmartGlass. Either it’s going to revolutionize the way you watch TV or it’s a dismissive wank for a dying console. I’m of both opinions. I get how cool it would be to stare at a map of Westeros while watching Game of Thrones, but I also know how cool it is to just watch and be fully engrossed by Game of Thrones. At a certain point isn’t just watching a movie and enjoying it enough? Do I really need Joss Whedon poping up on my phone telling me how hard it was to shoot this entire scene in a green fish tank?

Mad Catz releases a high end customizable controler. I remember Mad Catz as the company that made all those awful N64 controllers back in the day. Thank goodness they survived the 90s, because they now make the most gorgeous controller I've ever seen. It's modular by design so you can swap out the dpad for the thumbsticks or vice versa. You can get concave or rounded thumbsticks and there are a couple different dpad options.

Now someone give me $100 so I can afford one.

Here you go Loren, Logitech's new solid wood and metal Rock Band controller looks like it won't break right away. The only downside is that it costs 200 bucks. Of course you could just save that money for the upcoming DJ Hero. That should be fun for like 15 minutes.
