Hey, That's a Nice Goal

Some Dutch team was down one goal to some other Dutch team when they decided to push their goalie forward. Not only does it work but the goalie scores one of the craziest backheel goals I've ever seen.

I love it when a soccer team pushes the goalie forward, I wish every sport had an equivalent. Imagine if in the NFL the Seahawks could put an extra guy on the field but it meant the punter had to take the snaps or something. Wouldn't that be aweseome? Someone get Roger Goodell on that.

After Chelsea's final match of the season the team took some time to honor retiring player Paulo Ferreira. While Ferreira was giving his speach, the son of backup goalie Ross Turnbull saw the empty net and he went for it.

This is not a bad way to win a game. I mean it's not as cool as that one time I scored a goal after the keeper had fallen down, but hey they can't all be magic.

This is what I was trying to do

Staring into the face of an 0-4 beating last night. I took a volley at the top of the box very similar to Maicon's goalazo from the weekend. And by similar I mean I didn't have to juggle the ball 3 times and my shot barely rolled to the keeper. Still It totally counted as a shot on goal. Stats don't lie!

Wow.. Oscar Rojas just killed this ball. Last night Mexico beat T&T 2-1, keeping their chances for World Cup qualification alive. Isn't it just like El-Tri to start the final group stage playing like ass, fire their coach and then turn things around just in time for the USMNT's visit to the Azteca. Thanks for nothing Mexico.

Yeah I know, two soccer posts in a row. At least this one has %100 less Ronaldo in short shorts than the previous post.

Ball Boy demands to now be called Ball Man

This is a pretty nice assist from an Israeli division 2 ball boy. Almost as nice as the assist I had in my game last night.
