This video is a big long but I watched the whole thing, so I guess it wasn't so long that I didn't watch it. There's a ringing endorsement. Now random thoughts:

I completely forgot Spawn was a black guy. I mean I remember Spawn is a black guy but I completely forgot about Spawn. Weird huh? He had a movie and everything. It just seems like it's been forever since Spawn has been relevant in anyway. The last time I even remember reading anything Todd McFarlane related was when Neil Gaiman was suing him.

Captain Monica/Photon/Captain Marvel Monica Rambeau should really be on this list. Like near the top. Minority superheroes often get the short end of the stick but female minority heroes get it worse, even in list form. Storm is THE ONLY lady on the list period. That's kinda sucky.

No way Bishop and his jheri-curl mullet should be ranked ahead of Falcon. Even when he was a good guy Bishop kinda sucked and hasn't even been a good guy in like 5 years. He spent 12 issues hunting down Cable through time and space trying to kill a baby. How can you rank him ahead of the guy who's lined up to be the next Captain America?

Here's some grainy cell phone video of real life Seattle superhero Phoenix Jones knocking a guy the f out. Despite the terrible resolution it's pretty entertaining. I guess Washington State has a standing law allowing “mutual combat”, meaning if two people want to go at it, they can if they both agree to do so in front of authorities.

I'm a little upset that at the end the cop didn't yell out "finish him!"

Seattle is your new Gotham

If you haven't heard, Seattle has it's very own real life superhero named Phoenix Jones. He doesn't really fight much crime. Mostly he just reports trouble he sees to cops but every once in a while he pepper-sprays a bunch of punks (or innocent bystanders, whatever man). He's like Batman if Batman didn't have any of those wonderful toys.

Enter Rex Velvet, our very own mustachioed super villain. He says he's taking Phoenix Jones down.. down to Chinatown. For some dim sum I guess, I don't know. This whole thing looks pretty stupid. For once I'm glad I live in Kent.

Real life superhero gets fired from his job helping kids. Seattle's own real life superhero, Phoenix Jones, was unmasked a couple weeks ago after he was arrested for pepper spraying some hoodlums. As a result of the arrest he can no longer work with Autistic and developmentally disabled children as mandated by state law. That sucks.

Polish Spider-Man is kinda douchey

Here's a nice little video of some guy dressed up as Spider-Man attacking people with silly string and twine. It's pretty cute.

More importantly it reminds me of this awful European prank show a friend of mine bought off a late night infomercial like 10 years ago. I wish I could remember what that show was called. It was European but it had this really quasi-japanese title like "Super Prank Hour" or "Hilarious Fun Pranks". The show was pretty standard hidden camera nonsense. Like a guy would pop out of a mail box and scare the baguette out of some poor Frenchman. Or some woman with big boobs would ask a dude for help with some sort of sexy results all while his wife/girlfriend would look on disapprovingly. It was all pretty much crap except for one gag.

Somehow they rigged a shower at a pool or health club or creepy euro bathhouse to spray fake blood. Oh my God, it was terrifying. Like one minute you're hanging with the dudes in the shower, getting your loofah on and the next minute you're just drenched in blood. Throw in some weird euro-pop playing the whole time and this laugh track that sounded like everyone was laughing in french and it was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen. Worse than Event Horizon or House Party 4.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is, nice try Polish Spider-Man.

Real Life Superhero is gonna get shot

Ok so just in case you're one of two people on the internet that haven't heard this story yet, let me tell you about Phoenix Jones.

"Phoenix patrols Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood every week- stopping fights, feeding the homeless and helping folks who have run out of gas.

Now if you're not familiar with Seattle (hi Ralf) the neighborhood this Phoenix guy is patrolling is probably the whitest, trendiest part of Seattle. I wonder how many tickets he's handed out to Hipsters not wearing ironic enough facial hair? 10 bucks says if he makes his way down to the Rainer Valley he'll get stabbed by an 11 year old.
