Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp - Official Trailer

Would you look at that long ass post header that doesn't all fit on one line and looks terrible. I copied that directly off the youtube page, it's way too long and it still doesn't tell you that this is the 2nd Ant-Man and The Wasp trailer, really it's the 3rd if you count the teaser, which we should.

It's a good trailer, almost too good. I'm getting this feeling they're a bit nervous about following up Avengers: Infinity War with this so they're showing you ALL THE CGI they can. I would not be surprised if you walk out of the movie having felt like you've seen all the best parts already. Or maybe not, I could be wrong. I usually am.

However I will toot my own hort (TOOT TOOT) and say that I guessed pretty much all the major Avengers: Infinity War plot points. I mean my son is pretty much my only witness but trust me I nailed it. I had the opening scene figured out, several plot points along the way and the end scene all nailed. It was a good movie that I would have enjoyed anyway but man watching it all come together just as I had imagined really filled my smug meter, which felt fantastic.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP - Teaser Trailer

I wasn't expecting a trailer for the next Ant Man movie, Ant Man and The Wasp, today but here we are. I wonder why Marvel didn't just premier it with Black Panther, that movie comes out in like 2 weeks. Or maybe they did last night (at the Hollywood premiere) and they're just worried about getting an official version on line before someone posts shaky cell phone footage.

Ant Man: Alien Invasion

Recently Marvel has released a few animated Ant-Man shorts by French filmmakers Ugo Bienvenu and Kevin Manach. They're kind of fantastic, in fact there's no kind of about it. They're fantastic. The animation style feels like it's lifted right out of a Tales To Astonish from the 1960s.

Marvel never really has had a house animation style the way DC has had ever since Batman: The Animated Series. I'm telling you they could do a lot worse than patterning all their animated shows and films after this. Kids love fake retro stuff these days, or at least adults buying this stuff do. Kids don't even watch cartoons anymore, too busy with their fidget spinners and all that dabbing.

LEGO Civil War: Ant-Man vs. Iron Man

When does Captain America: Civil War come out on Blu-Ray. I want to see that movie again but I think it's already out of theaters. Remember when movies would be in theaters for forever. I remember seeing Jurassic Park in the theater in the summer of 94, a full year after it was released. Now a days movies are out of the theater in like a month and they're at Redbox in two. I think I'm already out of luck if I want to see X-Men Apocalypse for my birthday. Which is in a week, ugh.

This birthday is hitting me hard. Not just because I turn 40 but because I haven't been very happy lately. I miss all my friends, I'm in a bunch of physical pain like all the time, my kids are growing up WAY too fast, work is for suckers... I'd like to do some big blow out thing but I have zero energy to put into it and at this point it's too late. At least this year I was smart enough that I took the day off of work, I think I worked on my birthday last year and it was balls. You should never have to work on your birthday, it should be law. Someone get Obama on that. That would be a fantastic legacy.

I ordered a new power supply for my computer (the el cheapo one I bought 6 months ago has a bearing out and it sounds like a small lawnmower is powering my pc), it's supposed to arrive the day before my birthday. Maybe I'll just spend my birthday working on my PC, that's kind of fun. Does Baskin & Robbins still give you a free cone on your birthday?

Ant-Man: Official Trailer #2

Man, this was a big weekend for watching stuff. You had Daredevil premiering on Netflix, a new season of Game of Thrones AND AXS was replaying the rematch of AJ Styles vs Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Ok, maybe that last one was just big for me.

To cap things off Marvel debuted a new trailer for Ant-Man. I still really like it. I know there's sort of a stink of failure surrounding this movie since Edgar Wright left it but I'm a big fan of Ant-Man and Paul Rudd so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. Also that Yellowjacket costume looks totes rad.

New Ant-Man Trailer

Hey kids, did you miss the new Ant-Man trailer that premiered during last nights Agent Carter? Because I sure did. Thank you very much Dish Network an your usually fabulous 30 second skip forward button. Thankfully youtube exists so we don't need to watch commercials anymore. Although with youtube you will probably have to sit through a commercial just to watch this commercial. Damn it youtube.

The trailer itself is kind of underwhelming. I like it, I just don't LOVE it. I like Paul Rudd but I don't know... I kinda hate Michael Douglas in it. Weird?

I don't usually try and provide UP TO THE MINUTE EXCLUSIVE BREAKING nerd news simply because often my turn around between bookmarking something and posting about it is 2 or 3 days which in BREAKING NERD NEWS WORLD is an eternity. This picture of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man (or more accurately Scott Lang the criminal who becomes the hero known as Ant-Man) that hit reddit a couple hours ago is the closest I'll ever get.

I know Marvel has had an unusually difficult time getting their ducks in a row when it comes to Ant-Man but I'm still excited about this one. Paul Rudd staring in a big Marvel movie? Hells, yeah.

Ant-Man teaser footage: watch it while you can

Edgar Wright has been showing off a minute long teaser for the Ant-Man movie he's trying to make, since... I think it was last summer when I first heard about it. Finally someone had the sense to pull their iPhone out of their pocket while watching it.

Like I said get it while you can. I figure Marvel should have a team of Disney Lawyers all up in this in a matter of hour.
