X-Men: Days of Future Past, the present trailer

Here's the first of what I'm sure will be many trailers for X-Men: Days of Future Past. From what I've been told this is the same trailer that was shown at SDCC this summer just with a little extra post-production rubbed on it. No sentinels yet or anything.

For the uniformed Days of Future Past is one of the more iconic storylines from the 1980s X-Men comic books. It revolved around Kitty Pryde traveling to the future where she finds an apocalyptic wasteland where most of the X-Men are dead and the rest of the worlds mutants are hunted by giant purple robots. It's really the perfect storyline to lift if you're going to try and shoehorn all the stars of the original X-Men trilogy and X-Men: First Class.

Oh there will be major differences that will get all the nerds huffing and puffing but that's just par for the course with Fox. As long as this isn't another X-Men: The Last Stand I think we'll all be ok.

Long Lost LaserDisc Found, Features Behind-The-Scenes Star Wars Footage. Crazy to think that in this day and age there can be any kind of lost anything when it comes to Star Wars. BTW, I would totes rock a laserdisc player today. Growing up I had a friend who had Dune on laserdisc, hoochie mama that was awesome.

Eve Beauregard's Power Girl Cosplay. I still they they need to do a Power Girl movie. She's way more interesting than Wonder Woman and she less iconic so a director could (gasp) take more liberties with the character without nerds getting all bent out of shape about it. Also boob window.

The 10 Hilariously Confusing Origins of Hawkman. Hawkman is one of those characters that has a cool name and a (relatively) cool look but his backstory is SOOOOO terrible that no one is really that interested in him. Unless you like him ironically I guess.

Corey Feldman Says He and Corey Haim Were Pedo-Raped By Hollywood. This is a sad but sort of unsurprising story. You read enough tabloid blogs and you hear stories about how young Hollywood actors and actresses get prostituted out by their parents all the time. Sure you could chalk this one up to Corey Feldman being genuinely crazy, but the fact that he is so crazy kind of lends a bit of credence to the idea of him having a really terrible childhood.

Sony Tries To Stop Nude Images From Beyond: Two Souls From Spreading Online. Whoops... If you haven't heard the story yet here's the 2 sentence summary: Beyond Two Souls has a shower scene and when they mo-capped Ellen Page for said scene they actually rendered her completely naked. Now she's not shown naked in the game but someone got their hands on screenshots from a dev-kit and posted them on-line.

This might end up being a cautionary tale to motion-capture actors and actresses. Once a cgi house has a good capture of your face and body they can pretty much manipulate it anyway that they want. It only takes one unscrupulous 3d modeler and boom, your likeness is on youporn doing really unspeakable things to Halo's Cortana.
