Here you are, highlights of the US men's national team run in the confederations cup set to A Life Less Ordinary by Motion City Soundtrack. I swear if we don't beat England this weekend I'm turning this blog around and going home.

I'll admit I'm only using half my ass this week. I'm working on some "site integration" bull crap and haven't had much spare time for bad cosplay and random megan fox posts. next week everything should be back to normal. in the meantime you can be impressed that the blog now redirects straight from devildinosaur.com so you don't have to remember that .blogspot bs anymore.

I hate on ESPN for a lot of different things (JP Dellacamera and John Harkes being the first two) but they struck gold when they comissioned an artist to do paintings of all 32 world cup participants.
Now there's a good chance that the artist who did these is "special" but doesn't that make them more awesome? I mean Drogba is riding an elephant how can you not love that?

In news that makes you feel old, the Goonies (which doesn't need to be said, but is the awesomest 80s movie of all time) celebrates its 25th anniversary today. In celebration here's the infamous octopus scene. The Octopus scene is somewhat of a movie legend in that people swear they saw it in the theaters. What really happened is that the scene never made it into theaters or VHS but when the movie was first shown on network TV it was added to help round out the films length. It was then taken back out of the movie in an edit that was meant for syndication. Leaving a lot of 80s babies confused, some remember the scnene but up until the DVD release in 2001 no one had any proof of it. Something similar happened with two other movies I can think of, Aliens and Star Trek II. And that concludes your "more you know" nerd moment for the day.
I swear if one more person bails on my soccer team tonight my head is going to explode. You're not making it better when you say "I'm not coming because not enough people are going". /rant
Oh yeah check out the prop newspaper that is in just about every tv show ever. Crazy, huh?
My name is Kevin and I blog, mostly about nerdy stuff. I'm old enough to know that Gobots came before Transformers and geeky enough to care.
